About the Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking QA Automation Engineer to revolutionize our quality assurance processes. In this role, you will move beyond traditional, script-heavy frameworks and leverage cutting-edge AI and machine learning platforms to deliver faster, smarter, and more comprehensive testing. You will be responsible for implementing and scaling an AI-driven testing strategy that automates test creation, execution, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is passionate about the future of QA and has hands-on experience using AI to build resilient, efficient, and intelligent automation solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Pioneer AI-Driven Testing: Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy that utilizes AI-powered tools for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Leverage AI Platforms: Employ AI testing platforms to achieve key objectives, including:
- Autonomous Test Generation: Use AI to automatically explore our applications and generate meaningful test cases.
- Self-Healing Scripts: Dramatically reduce test maintenance by leveraging AI's ability to adapt to UI changes automatically.
- AI-Powered Visual Validation: Go beyond DOM-based checks to identify visual bugs, layout issues, and inconsistencies across different platforms and browsers.
- Integrate and Scale: Integrate AI testing tools into our CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid, intelligent feedback to development teams.
- Proactively remove technical blockers: Identify, analyze and directly resolve complex technical challenges during all phases of solution delivery
- Evaluate New Tools: Continuously research, evaluate, and prototype emerging AI-in-QA technologies to keep our testing practices at the forefront of the industry.
- Analyze and Report: Utilize AI-driven analytics to uncover deep insights into test coverage, application quality, and bug patterns, and present these findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate and Champion: Work closely with engineering and product teams to champion the adoption of AI-driven QA methodologies and best practices throughout the organization.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in a software QA automation role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience using modern AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Applitools, Mabl, Testim.io, Functionize, Parasoft, or similar platforms).
- Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages, such Python or JavaScript for creating integrations and helper scripts.
- Solid understanding of core QA principles, test strategy, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Experience integrating automation tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Exceptional collaboration, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- A foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and how they apply to testing (e.g., computer vision, natural language processing).
- Experience with performance or security testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Salesforce).
- Proven track record of successfully leading the adoption of a new tool or process within an engineering team.
