Understanding the Object Automation dashboard

Understanding your Results
Last Updated
May 8, 2024

The Object Automation dashboard provides a detailed overview of all record-triggered automation in your org, focusing on flows, processes, triggers, and workflows. This dashboard provides essential insights into the type, timing, and complexity of your automation, enabling effective management and optimization.

🚀 Hubbl Diagnostics Tip: Use the Cloud filter to segment results by specific clouds (e.g., Service or Health Cloud) for focused analysis.

How to use the Object Automation dashboard

  1. Object automation overview: Explore the amount and complexity of automation across your org by object. Utilize the bubble chart on the left or the table at the bottom to visualize the breakdown of object automation by flows, processes, triggers, and workflows. The larger the bubble, the higher the number of automations. The darker the bubble, the more complex they are. Click on bubbles or use the top filter bar to drill down into more detailed information.
  1. Filtering by automation type: Filter by automation type (flows, processes, triggers, workflows) to focus on specific areas of automation.
  • Flows: Identify criteria triggering flow execution and understand flow timing, aiding in migration and optimization efforts. Explore the "Before Save" timing option for improved run-time performance on field updates.
  • Processes: Gain insights into processes across objects and their timing, facilitating a comprehensive overview of process automation.
  • Triggers: Analyze triggers by object and timing to ensure optimal trigger management and identify potential issues with multiple triggers per object.
  • Workflows: Utilize the chart to visualize workflow timing based on type (alerts, field updates, tasks) and complexity. Bubbles reflect workflow complexity, highlighting objects with higher workflow impact based on the quantity and type of actions.

🚀 Hubbl Diagnostics Tip: Aim for one trigger per object to avoid issues and streamline automation management.
